Unified Streaming has become part of Software Combined, a software aggregator based in Australia. 

Joining forces with Software Combined provides the Amsterdam-headquartered video streaming tech company robustness for the future as a long-term investment, and provides the founders a “forever home” for their company that supplies highly specific technology. Concentrating on sustainable growth, Software Combined sets Unified Streaming up well for continued innovation, for years to come. 

The change in ownership became official on August 1, 2025, but Unified Streaming will keep operating independently.

Unified Streaming Cofounders Arjen Wagenaar and Dirk Griffioen, as CTO and CEO, respectively, will continue to lead the Dutch company. The Unified team will also remain in place, and will maintain their focus on and dedication to their customers.

Software Combined, founded in Sydney, Australia, and with a second office in the Netherlands, is led by an experienced, international team who take a long-term view to building and investing in businesses.

Coincidentally, the cofounders of Software Combined are also Dutch, but live and work in Australia. Evert den Hollander, Niek Hoogenhout, and Stefan Jansen started the company in March, 2020. Software Combined specializes in scouting niche software companies and helping them grow. 

Investing in Unified Streaming marks the Australian software aggregator’s second acquisition in the European market. Software Combined’s ten other software companies are headquartered in Australia and New Zealand, but most also operate internationally.

Unified Streaming has helped media and telecommunications companies stream content expertly and efficiently since 2012. CodeShop B.V., Unified’s parent company, started in 2005.
