AMSTERDAM, March 19, 2026 — Unified Streaming, a leading streaming software company, has hired Gabriel dos Santos Raithz, an IT industry veteran, to strengthen its team.

Raithz joins Unified Streaming as a pre-sales engineer. The client-facing role requires keen software skills and communication skills. As a liaison between Unified Streaming and its customers, Raithz will provide specific software recommendations so that companies around the world can achieve better efficiency in their workflows.

A large part of the pre-sales engineer’s job is listening to clients and documenting their needs, to create a workable solution for them. Raithz will do that, and he’ll assist sales account managers who talk to the same clients.

Strange as it may seem, Raithz's road to Unified Streaming began on the beach in Brazil.

"In June 2025 I was in Copacabana, and I just so happened to overhear (Sales Account Manager) Anne Zant and (Streaming Solutions Manager) Valentijn Siebrands speaking Dutch. And I felt compelled to start a conversation with them," said Raithz.

Out of a curiosity about their experience in Brazil, Raithz did just that, and the three got to talking. After a caipirinha, or two, Anne and Valentijn told Gabriel that they were in Rio to meet a Brazilian client.

"Then they invited me to visit the Unified booth at IBC in September, which conveniently takes place in Amsterdam, where I live. After seeing them again at IBC, I felt even more compelled to apply to join the Unified Streaming team."

Before he started work at Unified Streaming, Raithz worked for three years as a software architect at ABN-AMRO, a major Dutch bank in the Netherlands.

Switching from the financial sector to video streaming is a challenge that excites Raithz.

“In the streaming industry, complexity and attention to detail are essential, and the learning curve is steep. But I’m highly motivated. And with the support of my colleagues, I’m confident I’ll get up to speed quickly. I particularly look forward to combining thinking technically and analytically with communicating ideas clearly and engagingly,” Raithz said. "Along with working with people, something I genuinely enjoy. That may come from my Brazilian roots."
