Globo, the largest media company in Brazil and all of Latin America, gave Unified Streaming an “Operational Excellence” rating in their 2025 Partners in Excellence Program.
Each year Globo awards certificates designating this rating only to partner companies that achieve an average score of 95% or higher. Globo bases the percentage rating on evaluation indicators defined for each particular service category. In Unified Streaming’s case, the category means licensable infrastructure (for video streaming).
In its communication accompanying the certificate, Globo’s representative wrote, “We would like to thank you for the level of service provided during 2025 and for our partnership that can continue to grow stronger in 2026. Congratulations! Please convey our thanks to the teams that worked directly with Globo.”
As a streaming software provider, Unified Streaming has partnered with Globo since 2013.
Globo's live streaming workflows run a core product from Unified Streaming: Unified Origin. Reliable and interoperable, Unified Origin offers Globo’s viewers stability and reliability in their streaming experience. Because Unified Origin handles different codecs and specifications with ease, Globo is able to provide its viewers and subscribers entertainment on multiple devices, including smart TVs, gaming consoles, and mobile devices.
Streaming HLS and MPEG-DASH formats, Unified Origin offers Globoplay streaming platform built-in support for features that make it possible for Globo to monetize their streams with ads, as well as to manage and protect the rights for streaming.
Unified Origin also gives Globo multi-channel audio, which enables the streaming service to satisfy different language requirements in various geographic regions. Globoplay viewers can also make use of accessibility features like captions and subtitles.
In 2016 Globo shared that Unified Streaming technology powered all of its video-on-demand delivery.
Part of Grupo Globo, Globo reaches over 100 million people in Brazil daily in its free-to-air television and digital broadcasts. Its flagship network, TV Globo, is one of the largest commercial TV networks in the world. Operating broadcast networks, pay-TV channels, and its streaming platform Globoplay, Globo’s reach and influence extends far outside South America’s largest country, both in size and population.
