CMSD to Enhance Media Streaming: a White Paper

ABSTRACT

This whitepaper presents a collection of results from studies of the usage of Common Media Server Data (CMSD) parameters to enhance media streaming performance. The presented results show that the CMSD keys “availability time" and “startup flag,” and estimated throughput, have a positive impact on quality of experience (QoE).
