Codeshop

We are a leading provider of cross-platform video streaming technologies. Dedicated to help companies to create and execute smart video streaming technologies.

CodeShop’s products are in operation around the world with customers ranging from broadcast networks and online content distributors to small companies and webcasters.

The ease of use and reliability of our solutions allow customers to shorten their time-to-market. Our solutions fit into existing frameworks (Apache, IIS, Lighttpd, Nginx) thus allowing for greater return on existing investment.

Our server side mod_h264_streaming module adds 'pseudo streaming' functionality to Flash Players. It is supported by Flash players like JW Player and Flowplayer.

The Unified Streaming Platform (USP) provides streaming from one encode simultaneously to multiple players and devices. This enables companies to reduce delivery cost significantly and boost time to market in order to address a broader audience.

History

The company was founded in 2005.

Our work on the Unified Streaming Platform (USP) started in 2009.

Previous to USP we created a plugin for streaming and seeking MP4 videos for Flash (2007). This server side module is supported by various players e.g. JW Player and Flowplayer and it is the most widely deployed pseudo-streaming plugin for any webserver (Lighttpd/Apache/Nginx/IIS).

Other projects include work on plugins for Rhozet's Carbon Coder (HLS, Smooth Streaming exporters), RTSP/RTMP bridges, a white-label online video distribution system (2006) and a VOIP system combining voice over ip and Jabber messaging into a comprehensive SDK (2005).

We are headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The company is privately owned.
